Only 3 of the 20 caves of this system can be visited, but they are beautiful.Primitive men left paintings and tools, monk seals used to deliver their puppies in here, while an italian king had a concert with an entire orchestra playing for him in the cave. Nowadays the city of Alghero still organizes smaller but charming concerts. These caves can be reached by boat or using more than 600 stairs, from the tall promontoryof Capo Caccia down to sea level. Well worth a visit!
