Location
This photo was taken during a midnight trip between Qazvin and Alamut, Iran 2017. Alamut is located in Latitude: 36° 26' 24.37" N Longitude: 50° 35' 5.74" E. The main challenge about having this shot at this location was about the height of the camera and how far from the Light pollution of cities should the camera be set. On the other flip side of the coin, the Galaxy Center is exactly in the same direction of Light pollution in this photo.Time
It was crucial to have a shot from the Milky Way when it is Dark Moon for two main reasons: Firstly, to minimize the effect of light pollution. Secondly, to control the light by the flash not by moon light. Another significant time scheduling in this photo was about the position of the curve of the Milky Way. All in all, this photo was taken at 1:08 A.M on May 26, 2017.Lighting
The main light of the foreground was the Flash light set to be at second curtain. The point is the shadow of human kind is in the direction of its Galaxy if you mind! These are two parallel lines will never meet each other in no dimension. You can never face of what you are including (We are part of Milky Way).Equipment
It was shot by Canon 6D , 24-105mm F4L, Simple Tripod and a Speed Light.Inspiration
The name is "False Sign".Lets be more precise. There are always false signs which are trying to make you a departed land from the truth. Some are with each other some against. Just look at the sky.Editing
Eliminating the light pollution effect was really a piece of challenge here. Also, strengthening the lights of the Milky Way so that there will be no negative effect on the real colors of the photo was important. In my camera bag
Normally it is my Camera! My beloved Canon 6D. 24-105 mm F4L lens. 50 mm F1.8 STM. My speed light Flash. And the Tripod. The last but not the least, chocolates!Feedback
The main challenge for capturing shots from the Milky Way is Time Scheduling.
