Behind The Lens

Location

I took this picture departing from Santa Maria Airport, south of Brazil.

Time

I tried this shoot 3 nights in a row, but at the first two nights we took off early in the night, so we could not get the city light properly. I got this picture about 21:30.

Lighting

i was really excited to get the city lights moving with a slower shutter speed, so I used 0,5s to get the city lights movement and a good lighting inside the plane.

Equipment

I'd already tried this shoot with a gopro hero2, but I could not get enough light. This photo was taken with a Gopro Hero 5 Black edition.

Inspiration

I really like the light effects on long exposure pictures and always imagine how it would look like inside a fighter jet.

Editing

I really need to work on post processing, on this photo i just used some basic Lightroom effects.

In my camera bag

I normally have a canon SL1 with my 18-200 lens, the Gopro Hero5 and a Manfrotto tripod.

Feedback

I used the night time-lapsed with a 0,5s shutter speed, so you'll just need a Hero5, one good pilot and a fighter jet in a good night.
