Location
This photo was taken in my home city of San Diego. I have live parallel lives between orange county and San Diego and I wanted to convey that through the excitement of my best friend.Time
Around 6pm, we spend the whole day touring around all of San Diego and I suprise my friend with this insainly cool spot just before we ended the day.Lighting
I wanted this image to focus on the mood of the subject and have a nostalgic backlight and exposure to it.Equipment

On a good day, I typically have a Sony a7ii with a 35mm f1.4, 70-200 F4. Along with a Canon t5i, helios 58mm f2, 50 f1.8, 70-210 f4. And a Canon a1, 28 f2.8, 50 F1.8, &70-200 F4. And a GoPro hero 5 black. For this image I just had to get a wide angle and since my gopro was dead, and I was already sliding down the hill, I used my phone and composed it how I imagined it.Feedback
Definitly practice and learn AS MUCH as you can. With composition, with lighting, with principals of design and elements of art. The equipment isn't everything, they're very strong tools but most of the time it comes down to being able to think of an image, and getting as close to that as you can until you're able to just insticually adjust your settings, direct, and create. :)
