Behind The Lens

Location

Used to live in the kent countryside and to get anywhere would have to walk through country roads! one night we was coming back from a pub and I was taking flash photos along the way and this was one of them! Obviously didnt see the bug as it was dark

Time

Very late at about 1130pm nice to walk through being soo quite! If i remember rightly it was a warm night with a breeze! used to love going outside at this time of night in summer listeninv to the wildlife... miss it tbh

Lighting

Was a moonlit night but that was the only light round there used my built in flash to light up the rose bud

Equipment

Cannon 1200D and in built flash!

Inspiration

Love taking pics of flowers at night! didnt get much opportunity at that time, as it would disturb the neighbours, but along that road was no houses so took a quick shot of a few!.

Editing

No

In my camera bag

Nothing but the camera when i had it... and my mobile phone! now only have my mobile phone. Will eventually get another one but would always only have the camera just in case something caught my eye

Feedback

Night shots are not that hard to do, if something catches your eye go to it and walk round it to see visually which way is lit up more, then from that point go slightly to the left/right of that (depending how far round you can go, this one was at the top of a bush so had to raise my camera to the right of where the moon lit it up and hope for a good one! Then took 3 shots) and take it with the flash on! There are those that can take without the flash but i always prefer to use it if i can!
