Behind The Lens

Location

Photo taken at Badamwari, Srinagar. Kashmir. India. The photo was taken 1.5 Km away from my home in picturesque location of Kashmir called locally Badamwari (Means Garden of Almonds). Believed to have been built during 14th century, Badamwari Garden is a piece of heaven tucked away in Srinagar. Sprawling over the hills of Koh-e-Maran, the enchanting garden is replete with vibrantly blooming bushes and shrubbery. It is houses a magnificent dome at the centre and has trails carved for tourists to walk on.

Time

10th May, 2017. 4.00 pm IST. My sister and her kids insisted to have walk around. Since the photo site was near our home. I took the camera along. As you enter the magnificent gate of this almond garden you are mesmerized to have clicks. It was a sunny day and in the background were the magnificent Zabarvan hills not visible in the picture

Lighting

It was daytime and the light was awesome .the details were: Aperture 44/10?ISO 80?Shutter 10/3200?Focal Length 119/10. ?

Equipment

OLYMPUS SZ-30MR. I used the supermacro mode. It uses the skills of man behind the lens. You have to be stand still, hands & arms hold tight to capture an excellent shot.

Inspiration

The almond garden has multiple attractants to lure photographs to click and click. Background of magnificent mountains, clear blue sky. Lush green garden with shrubbery, fountains and full blossom of Almond trees. That is what makes a scene to be captured in a camera.

Editing

No, the image posted is the original one.

In my camera bag

I only have OLYMPUS SZ-30MR camera which always stays with me. It has been a long time I have not invested in optics, the reason being, Kashmir being a conflict zone, we are always facing lot of trouble while moving in journeys and secondarily my preoccupations with my academic job at university.

Feedback

The mind and eyes of an photographer should be inquisitive always in search of an event to be captured. You should have time, patience and a descent equipment to follow. As you sojourn different activities are always happening, the only thing you should have creativity to look into a scene worth to be captured.
