The breakwater which protects the harbour of St.Kilda, Melbourne, Australia is home to a colony of little penguins, Eudyptula minor. Each night starting at dusk these small penguins come out of the sea to the breakwater where they nest and breed. Interestingly, the penguins were not there until the seawall was constructed, giving them a place to breed.
