Travelling north of Hanoi near Mu Cang Chai, and stopped van to photograph these Hmong women. They were happy to pose for us until this lady was suddenly quite shy and-or got the giggles. I was fortunate to capture this fleeting moment. I love that the wrinkles in her face and her hands mimic the rice paddies, which themselves are testament to a lot of very hard work. Her hands were stained in the process of dyeing their clothes with the indigo (blue) dye.
