I had a peony tree which appeared to die, but the next year, it was back with only one flower. Across the garden there was a small peony bush that produced no blooms the first year, but the next year, it produced one bloom which was the same color of the peony tree.

Sadly my volunteers are usually maples growing where they shouldn't. ;) This is really lovely!

I have plenty of volunteer maples, and a few oaks, but the worst are the volunteer poison ivy! :-(
