I don't have a macro lens, so I decided to use my Sigma DC 18-200mm mounted on the Canon EOS 70D to see whether I can shoot an acceptable "macro" shot. I positioned myself next to a succulent pot plant and set shooting mode on continuous mode. At first I had trouble with the focus but after a while I believe to have almost sorted it out. This singular bee was moving from one flower to another as if his life depended on it. Handheld, because no tripod will give the freedom of movement required in this type of shooting. This is the best of 72 shots. The image was seriously cropped, followed by ever so slightly assisting with contrast and sharpening. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did shooting the bee from all kind of angles.

I think you did excellent with this shot. Congratulations. and well done for your perseverance at taking so many shots of the bee. Have you tried reversing your lens onto the camera. I tried and it worked for me.

Hi, thanks for the positive response. I've heard about it but not sure how to go about it. Do you need an adaptor of sorts?

Thank you for the opportunity to participate! Now I will have to spend more time practising and submitting better quality macros. Any suggestions on how to improve?
