"It is easier to go down a hill than up it. But the view is much better at the top." - Henry Ward Beecher

This is Porto and that's the Douro river. This whole city is built on the banks that surround the Douro which makes the above quote so much more applicable. It was in Porto where our #downtogoup saying was born because to get anywhere you first had to go down the hill and go up the other. My legs suffered a tad but the views that it offered were well worth it.
This photo was taken on probably one of my favourite evenings of the whole trip. We were wine tasting on the side seen in the photo and decided to try and get sunset shots from the monastery atop the opposite side. Can you say #HUSTLE! We didnt make it to the monastery for sunset but we got this shot along the way and i was well pleased ... and breathless (not just because of the climb).
