When reading about the people on flight 93, Ava asked if there were any children on the plane. I said from what I can tell no I don't believe so. As I'm taking pictures of the area I turn around and found Ava like this..... I stood there and watched her for a good 5 minutes as she had her hand on the wall. She didn't move a muscle. Finally she came over to me and said mom there was a child on the plane. She was in her moms belly when the plane crashed. I asked how she knew that and she walked me over and showed me that next to the victims name said and unborn child. Ava told me she said a prayer for them both but she wanted to keep it between her and them. As we were leaving she thanked me for taking her to this monument and said it meant a lot to her and then asked if I could just hug her for a few minutes and not let go. I wanted to teach her some history of what I went through growing up and how 9-11 not only affected me, but changed everyones lives in some sort of way. I had no idea that me taking her to this historical monument would have such a huge impact on her life at only 7 years old. She is a beautiful soul with a heart of gold.
