I used to regularly see this beautiful piebald doe on my walks. One evening she appeared out of the dense woods, actually came towards me while I carried on a conversation with her, and calmly let me snap several shots before sauntering up a trail into a different section of the forest. Rather than saying she's gone, I like to instead imagine that she dissipated back into the forest that manifested her.

I'm still sad she's gone. Humans are cruel sometimes.
