The Diamond Firetail is a small Finch that is endemic to south-eastern Australia. This photo was taken in the lower elevations of the Yarra Range near Healesville, Australia. Probably one the the prettiest small birds I have photographed. These birds are classified as UnderThreat due to loss of habitat and increasing numbers of predators.
