This photo was taken not so far from my family home on the mountain.Time
This is one of my favorite photos. I was very surprised to see such little birds , and tried my best not to disturb them while photographing. It was somewhere around the noon on a sunny day in June 2015.Lighting
I wanted this image to present how serene and cozy the birds looked, and show a little glimpse into their world. Using flash was impossible because it would have disturbed this little creatures and caused them unnecessary stress. Therefore, I took advantage of natural light as best I could have since the nest was in tall grass.Equipment
This was shoot on a Canon COOLPIX S3300.Inspiration
One day a cousin of mine told me that he saw a bird nest nearby while mowing the grass, and showed it to me. I was very surprised to see such little birds, and tried my best not to disturb them while photographing. It was very unexpected and unplanned. I don't usually have a chance to see such a sight which makes this photo special to me.Editing
I didn't do any processing. I usually like to keep my nature shots just the way they are, because I believe the nature is beautiful just the way it is. That doesn't mean I don't like to see nicely processed photo and I think it is a great way of expressing creativity. In my camera bag
I always have my Canon COOLPIX S3300 with me, and I have been using it for years now. Sometimes I also use my or my dad's phone.Feedback
Taking a photo like this can be a little difficult because a nest can be inaccessible and hidden in the branches. It is important to be very careful not to hurt yourself or disturb the birds. You have to be very patient while finding the right angle.
