Location
On a trip with my parents to Bonners Ferry Idaho. We took a side trip to a bird sanctuary and over the river this fine specimen was hunting for fish high on his perch. He sat there for a half hour posing and we were there to take advantage of the moment. Photograph is definitely being in the right place at the right time.Time
It was a all day trip and we were starting to head home so it was a late afternoon shot around 4:30 on a fabulous march dayLighting

the shot was taken handheld with a tamron 150-600 on a Nikon 5100Inspiration
I think the love of birds. Also birds offer a particular challenge, they move quick and it can test your speed and accuracy and focus.Editing
I added some darkness and a bit of clarity. Also a bit of cropping was done.In my camera bag

When you find your target relax and dont be in a hurry some of the best shots were taken when the bird gets used to you being there.
