Location
Picture taken close to my home in north of Norway. This photo was taken on such an occasion last winter. I live near too, but not in the Lofoten islands. the fjord where I live there is an island called Kveoy. I often go there to take pictures. We are some friends, all retired, who go out together to enjoy our hobby. I think it is important to have a hobby to prevent me from hanging on street corners, and become a juvenile delinquent. Our hobby gives us good time outside in good company. This also give us activities both for our body and for our mind. Sometimes we even get some good photos. Most of all, we have great fun.Time
Photo taken end of April 2017 just after mid day. Still winter here and it had been blowing and was cold. Not the best of light, and dull sky, but still......Lighting
Dull light, but the sea gave life and color to the picture. I did not expect the picture to be very great, but....Equipment
Camera: Olympus OMD EM1. Lens: Olympus 12-40mm 2,8 mm pro. 1/500 sec f 7,1 Focal length 19mm No tripod. Handheld camera.Inspiration
it is always fun to take pictures of the sea. Lots of movement that gives life to the picture.Editing
Some editing in Lightroom and One1 i think, but can not remember exactly. In my camera bag
I like my Olympus . Apart from the lens used in this picture, I often use the Olympus 40-150mm pro. On my photo rucksac , I have the Capture pro camera clip from Peak design. It keeps my camera always available, and it does not hang round my neck like a cow-bell.I have a tripod, but rarely us it. A bar of chocolate and often a thermos of warm coffee. The rest depends on the time of year.Feedback
Use your home area! Get to know where to go in special weather or lighting conditions. Your best location, is where you live. It is of no use, if "the best location" is somewhere that you never get to og maybe once in a lifetime. Have fun where you are. It is where you can find motives virtually every day. You probably will not become famous and sell lots of pictures, but that does not matter. Leave that to the others. The important thing, is that you enjoy yourself and have fun, prefarrably in the company of good friends.
