This is a scan of the original non-digital image of an ice structure I photographed along the side of the road through the Great Swamp more than a dozen years ago. There had been a period of freezing and thawing and a large puddle formed on the road. As drivers passed through the puddle, the water splashed out of the puddle and covered weeds and small trees creating this huge sculpture. The dirty water made the ice yellowish brown and the overcast sky kept things very flat.
