A lovely sunny day walking down a country lane with the sun lowering in the sky to my left looking at the beauty of nature and observing the angle of natural lightEquipment

I had been watching the beauty all around me as I walked along the lovely country road observing the butterflies alighting along the way, when this one in particular grabbed my attention, fluttering straight past my face at eye level and landed just a couple of meters away I couldn't help but be entranced. It took me a few moments to remember the camera in my hands, fortunately it was happy to stay and pose for a few pics before returning to the duties of living.Editing
A simple crop to show the image as I get to see it through my viewfinder and on my big screen.. Not everyone gets to see a butterfly up close. In my camera bag
150-600 Tamron, Wideangle, 75-250 canon, cleaner, batteries, memory cards, journal, monopod, canon 600d and my new additon the canon 7d mk 2Feedback
Patience is key in nature! Be observant! Listen, watch and wait. Look for movement, it might just be a leaf in the wind, or it could be that wonderful little insect or bird you've been chasing for weeks. What is the best time of day to see the creatures you are trying to capture, what settings should I have my camera at for that time of day, do they move quick and if so what settings do I need for that. Be as prepared as you can be, and then expect the unexpected anyway. You don't always have to be right in the middle of a big forest to see wildlife.. sometimes it pays to just stop by the side of the road and listen, watch and wait.
