Equipment

Canon 6D with a Canon 500mm lens shooting from bean bag on vehicle door

Inspiration

It was lambing season and there were hundres of impala lambs about the place. Despite being one of the most common animals seen in many parts of souther Africa, impala are incredibly graceful and beautiful antelopes. This young one just stood and stared at me for a moment giving me a chance to capture the symmetry and grace of their gorgoues facial features, large ears and liquid eyes.

In my camera bag

I take my 6D with its std 24-105mm just about everywhere I go.

Feedback

When you are trying to take wildife shots don't forget to just stop and see what unfolds around you. Always chasing the big ticket items means you can miss some of the most delightful images that are right under your nose, and often when you just stop and be quiet amazing things can unfold around you. Be in the moment.
