The Nao Victoria is a historical replica of the 1st ship to successfully navigate the world. It was commanded by Ferdinand Magellan and Julian Sebastian Elcano in the 16th century. One of their biggest acts was to discover the real dimensions of the world.

One of the crew was an Englishman named Maestre Andre's who was born in Bristol. He was serving as a Lombardo (artillery officer) and died in the Philippine Islands during the expedition on May 9th 1521.
