Behind The Lens

Location

I took this shot in lake Endine, a small lake not too far from the most famous Iseo lake. It is not that far from the place where I currently live. Bergamo and its surroundings are very nice and, whenever my spare time permits, I like to discover these new places, they worth a visit!

Time

It was morning, December 2016. Even if it was winter time, it was a sunny day and not so cold, perfect day!!

Lighting

For this shot I used natural lighting. I started to explore the area and I wanted to make a nice hike around the lake. I spotted this place after a short while I had started my hiking, the perfect one to capture a nice reflection.

Equipment

At that time I was a beginner (I'm still actually), and my only equipement was my camera and its lens. I use a Canon Eos M10, lens 15-45 mm. Step by step I have purchased new equipment for my camera.

Inspiration

I discovered this lake through a social media: I was stuck on these shots with such a perfect reflection. I started to get more information about it and found out it was not that far from my place. So one day I drove towards the lake, aiming to take some shots and improve my photographing skills.

Editing

I did just a little bit concerning post-processing: colours were wonderful on raw image and didn't want to alterate them.

In my camera bag

I have my camera backpack provided with all the equipment I have: Canon M10, different kind of lenses (15-45 mm; Samyang 14 mm 2.8; Tamron 70-300 mm 4-5.6 and mount adapter eos M- EF/EF-S), triapod, neutral filters, spare batteries

Feedback

There are two main features for this kind of shot in my opinion: sunny day and no wind. This was what I had that day!!
