Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken in my back garden. I am a self taught photographer, so each photo is an adventure in the unknown.

Time

This was taken In the morning at 09.40 before the sun was too bright.

Lighting

I just wanted natural light for this, so the only thing was to make sure my shadow didn't intrude on the flowers.

Equipment

This was taken with my Panasonic Lumix FZ200. Camera was on a tripod, and used a remote shutter release.

Inspiration

I love this photo. I have always looked at other peoples water drops and thought "Wow" so I got an old bottle, put a tiny bit of water in it, Put the camera on the tripod, and experimented. There were lots of failures. but this one came out just right.

Editing

The only processing I did on this was some colour enhancement.

In my camera bag

My bag is very simple. My FZ200, a few cokin filters, spare batteries, lens hood, lens cleaning cloth, remote shutter release and a soft cloth to dry the camera with in case it gets wet.

Feedback

Keep trying, don't give up. Look at other peoples work to get ideas, and have loads and loads of patience.
