"All in the Day of a Photographer" Headed out for a mini adventure with Shyla Dog Super Hiker before I take off for the Desert Southwest for 25 days. I had a plan to go to the Boulder River Wilderness for an overnight as it was supposed to be rainy. I went exploring, but by the time I had made it into the are it was sunny. Drove all the way out to Darrington looking for rain, and it was sunny. What a photographer to do? New Plan! Drove all the way back out of the mountains, to get to the tulips just in time for awesome afternoon light, nailed a series of shot(I will post soon) of the tulips, then headed out to Larrabee State Park for a sunset I have been trying to get. Nailed sunset, enjoyed some excellent night hiking, then hit the hay. Got up and broke camp and hit another nearby trail, had about 2 minutes of overcast light to shoot a creek, nailed it (will post soon) Put in a nice 4 mile loop and headed home to pack for my upcoming adventure. Sometimes that is how it all works out in the life of a photographer: Plan as you will, but Mother Nature can change your plans at anytime. If you are willing to go with it, you just might be rewarded. Sunset Afterglow with the San Juan Islands and Samish Bay from Larrabee Beach in Larrabee State Park in Washington. Thank you so much for looking!
