This solitary bird overlooks the small rocky bay called Wategoes at Byron Bay in N.S.W. in Australia. Out of frame sits a lighthouse on the headland of Cape Byron, the most easterly point of the Australian mainland. The Cormorant is happy to sit on the dead tree branch and watch. Maybe he has already hunted and has a full belly. On the other hand he may be just content to take in the beauty of his surroundings.
