The second in a series of images regarding toxicity and beauty. I loved working with this artist. His dancing is amazing, even if it isn't featured here. So creative.

Location
This photo was taken in Jacksonville, Fl. We woke up entirely too early in the day to find all of the right spots in Murray Hill, Five Points, and Riverside.Time
Despite both of us being night owls, we were up and driving/walking around right when the sun came up. The coffee was delicious, but the early afternoon exhaustion was not.Lighting
Despite being one of the first images in the storyboard, it was one of the last pictures we took. It was almost noon at that point and perfect for capturing that bright red background.Equipment
I don't have anything fancy. It was shot with a D3300. No tripod. The tripod is reserved for long exposure and static setups.Inspiration
The inspiration for this series isn't really mine to share. In summary, the vision was one of removing toxicity from one's life and having a renewed capacity for existence as a result.Editing
This photo required only the most minimal adjustments of basic factors like saturation and contrast/lighting.In my camera bag
Aside from the typical extra memory and battery in my camera bag, I usually also bring my trail bag. It has water, granola bars, and a first aid kit in it.Feedback
Look for someone with a vision to work with. Scout for locations ahead of time and always have multiple in mind, because they won't all be useable, for whatever reason. Failure to plan is planning to fail.
