Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo in the small town I live in called Goldendale, Washington. I lover to pull off and park down a gravel farm road and snap pictures of our sunsets.

Time

around. 7pm.

Lighting

It was dusk.

Equipment

I sat on the hood of my SUV using only my cell phone.I can't afford one of those expensive cameras yet so all my pictures are taken with my cell phone. No flash was needed and I try my best to hold as still as possible..

Inspiration

Everyday before Sundown I race into my car and drive to one of my favorite spots to photograph the Sunsetting.I have faithfully photographed nearly every sunset since 2016.This was one of my earliest ones.I took over 200 pictures of this particular Sunset. The colors shapes and lighting were constantly morphing into something new.I remember this set because it was the first sunset that took my breath away.I couldn't stop snapping pictures.

Editing

Nope, just turned on my phone and snapped on.

In my camera bag

my 3 cell phones , my LG my ZTE and my Samsung Gallaxy..

Feedback

Find a picturesque spot in the highest elevation, make sure theirs fluffy clouds and be ready to snap photos when the sun as it's going down hits the top of the mountain's cause when it is completely gone you have only 10 minutes of the most beautiful pink and red and purple clouds forming all around the NE , and West sky's .But the colors only last about 10 to 15 minutes then the clouds turn from color to grey ...
