Location
I took this photo at the Niagara Butterfly Conservatory.Time
This was taken early afternoon .Lighting
The sun was high in the sky shining thru the glass roof making reflection and highlights eady to work with.Equipment
Hand held Canon T5i. Zoom lens .Inspiration
The colours of both the intriguing flower and the contrast with the butterfly with the brightly lit background I thought made a lovely composition.Editing
I eas lucky enough to be able to capture the image as I saw it eith no post -procrssing needed. In my camera bag
I carry my 18-55mm macro lens as well as my 55-250 mm macro lens. They generally suit my needs.I still have my manual Pentax k1000 with Tamron lenses. Love shooting old school film from time to time.It is a work horse of a camera.Feedback
Lighting is key. I prefer not to use flash .Instead I try to utilize the sun to capture my images. I use very little post processing .Mainly cropping . I have always looked to Ansel Adams nature black and whites for inspiration.Old school .Using nature and natural lighting
