Behind The Lens

Location

This shot was taken in Crawfordsburn, Northern Ireland (near Derry). I was there on a once in a lifetime trip to visit my dear friend, Joyce. I p.mas so lucky as she took me to many placed that I would never have known about I were by myself

Time

This was taken around 4 p.m. and it was such a marvellous introduction to Ireland - it was the first place we visited on the day I arrived.

Lighting

As during most of the time I was there, it was very dull and damp and the light wasn't the greatest. Just think how much more beautiful it would be if the sun were shining!

Equipment

I was using a Canon Photo Shot 610 HS that I had purchased especially for this trip and I was just getting used to it

Inspiration

This is my idea of a perfect Irish cottage and I would have loved to live there. It was so lovingly cared for ant this shot is the best of many that I took that day.

Editing

Just brightened it up a bit - otherwise, I thought it was perfect!

In my camera bag

I purchased this camera so I could carry it in my pocket without being burdened down with tripods, etc.

Feedback

I was an artist before I took up photograph (still am) and when I am photographing something, I always imagine it framed and try to eliminate anything that I think of as clutter
