Of course, the image is absolutely wonderful. What I also like is the construction of the vertical shaft. It seems sort of makeshift at first, but careful inspection reveals cables holding it in place. When it had a water wheel were was it? At the bottom of the shaft? Off to the right of the bottomou the shaft (halfway to the right edge of the image I see a six spoke metal wheel or gear. Was that part of the workings?
