Location
The location was Guyscliffe, Warwick. The steely home has parts that are medieval with the latest built in Neo gothic Victorian. The majority of the house was made derelict in a fire. It is owned by the Masonic Lodge and the chapel contains masonic temples.Time
This was taken mid-afternoon.Lighting
The image is predominantly natural light on a cloudy day. I did use a speed light on a lighting stand to add a touch of fill from the front.Equipment
Camera was Olympus OM-D EM-1 mark I with Olympus 12-40 f2.8 and Yongnuo speedlight.Inspiration
The architectural feature is one of a row of windows/alcoves and I wanted to get a statuesque type image which the model is very skilled at portraying.Editing
The image was processed in Lightroom and I used a black and white preset. In my camera bag
Along with 2 Olympus bodies, I carry the Olympus 12-40, Olympus 25 1.2 and Olympus 45 1.8Feedback
When visiting a new location, take time to scout around and find inspirational nooks and crannies. I have returned several times to the location always finding new places but also revisiting previously shot places with different models/costumes.
