I took a 2 hour train ride south for a day trip from Kyoto, to hike up Mount Yoshino and shoot down the hillside with the town covered in sakura-cherry blossoms. The images were not happening, and I became frustrated by the lack of payoff on the time investment. Then I came to a section known as Naka Senbon Park where families had gathered for picnics. I took a breath, took in the scene, and this happened.
