A very rare sighting naturally but unheard of in Cape Town. Initially I thought this was an April fool's joke so I had to have a look for myself. Pineapple fish are tropical water fish and are known to occur under rocks in Aliwal Shoal. My guess is that the Agulhus current washed this guy down to False Bay where he made a home in a crevice in a rock a few metres from shore. Very privileged to be able to photograph and experience this sighting.
