I actually don't mind house spiders....much. They get rid of other bugs of course, but there is a limit to that tolerance. For example, when they get too big, or too fast, or set up shop inside the house, that's about it for me. Strange as this may sound, I don't like squishing them because they are valuable, and as far as I see it have every right to be a spider. It's not like they're trying to be creepy, they can't 'think' that way. So I take them outside after I get a shot where they can find a new home. There's a neat trick, put them in a jar in the freezer, but only for a few minutes (otherwise it's over). The cooling slows them down so you can get a macro shot. They will 'come to' after a minute or so as if it never happened. Cool!
