Behind The Lens

Location

This was taken while we were on vacation in Canada at Yoho National Park on Emerald Lake.

Time

My husband and I were canoeing on this beautiful August morning. I was so peaceful. When we were returning our canoe, the lady helping us out commented on how relaxed we looked. I could have stayed out there all day.

Lighting

It was just the perfect time of day.

Equipment

Actually, I didn’t want to take my nice expensive camera out in a canoe, so this was a little instamatic Cannon camera that I have. So special lens, tripod or flash. Just a most beautiful setting.

Inspiration

The beauty of the area is all the inspiration needed for a photo like this.

Editing

No post processing. This is just the beauty of the area.

In my camera bag

I normally use my Nikon D7000 with my 28-300 zoom lens. But on this morning all I had was my cell phone and this little pocket Cannon camera.

Feedback

The best way to capture a beautiful picture is to always have some type of camera with you. Beautiful settings can only be remembered in your mind if you don’t bring some type of camera. Just be ready. There is beauty all around us.
