Illusion

This is such an odd photo and a example that you can not believe everything you see.
This is a rocky island that can not be seen from where I was located as it is both over the horizon and located farther north from my position, a combination of the warm air and the ice and cold on the lake has created a "lens" of sorts and tada there is an Island located where there is not one. I think that dark line above it is the opposite shore about 20 miles away, really odd because it kept changing shape and size and it is covered in ice at the moment. was so cool to see this.
There is also an Island that would be blocking the view of this if I could see it normally but it is now about a quarter mile to the right of it.
Color was altered to try and bring it out.
