I have found that a backlight photo often casts beautiful shadows and great detail.Equipment
I use the Nikon D7100 & D800 primarily and one of my favorite all round lenses is the Nikkor 16-85mm. Really great for landscapes and just about anything else I want to shoot.Inspiration

I always post process my images to gain the greatest tonal and colour quality that I can achieve, after all it's great looking images that we like to see.In my camera bag
I usually carry the bare essentials but always make sure I have a fully charged battery before I set out. My tripod is something I like to have with me also, especially in the fading light where steadiness is imperative.Feedback
Trial and error is the best advice I can give...and don't be afraid to play around in photoshop, many a time I have thought to dump an image and with a little extra time with processing it can become a beauty.
