FollowI was aware of the sun setting and trying to capture a shot that showed up the silhlouette of the trees. The mist and haze in the distance also helped to make the shot interesting. I hope i did it justice.

Behind The Lens
Location
I was driving towards Redhill Aerodrome where I work part time on Sundays. It was on one of the country roads about a mile or so away.Time
It was around 8:15am and as Redhill Aerodrome is only about 200 feet above sea level, this means most of the surrounding areas will be covered in mist as the sun rises and can take several hours before the mist can burn off.Lighting
The lighting itself is purely the colours of the sun as it’s rising. The good part about the mist allows me to open the aperture to allow more light in because a percentage of light is stopped because of the mist and haze.Equipment
On this particular occasion, I had my Canon 1Dx Mk2 and the lens is a Canon lens EF 24-70mm f4 L with image stabiliser. I’m pretty steady when I hold the camera and as this has image stabiliser, it just makes things even easier.Inspiration
I was inspired by the orange and red colours in the sun burning through the morning haze. The trees looked magical against the sky.Editing
I didn’t do any post editing. In my camera bag
I’m more of a minimalist when it comes to carrying equipment. I’ll have a 70-200mm lens f2.8 L, a spare battery, a 1.4 x extender also made by Canon, a lens cloth, a small brush which has a lens cleaner and a small puffer which allows me to keep my lenses dust free.Feedback
Sometimes you just have to be somewhere at the right time. I rarely make plans to go somewhere. I make sure I have my camera with me and just keep my eyes open.
