Location
I took this photo at Wellington point right at the point looking out towards Brisbane cityTime
late afternoon I was relaxing with my family when the sunset started bringing out all these nice colours.Lighting
Most sunsets in Brisbane this time of year are quite colourful, but this one was like nothing I've seen before. The light was reflecting through the clouds and of the sea.Equipment
As I left home in a rush, I only had my small 30cm tripod! My camera is an Olympus e-m1 with the kit lens in this image.Inspiration
The colours really popped. I couldn't resist rushing down to the point, I wish I'd got there earlier!Editing
Only slightly in lightroom to correct my white balance and boost the saturation ever so slightly. In my camera bag
Olympus e-m1, 14-42mm kit lens, 42mm 1.8 prime and an old Olympus full frame macro lens. I also always have my gorilla pod.Feedback
Take a tripod (size doesn't matter) use a longer exposure and find something to make the image interesting. In this case I love the way the beach has puddles of water adding that break up in colour over the sand. Also keep taking photos after the sun sets using longer exposure, your eyes may not see the light and colours but your camera will!
