My wife and I learned about the Nina Mason Pulliam Rio Salado Audubon Center when we went to the REI grand opening in Chandler, Arizona three weeks ago and decided to check it out. We went this past Saturday on a bird walk from the center (located on Central Avenue, south of I-17) along the Rio Salado and saw a few birds, but they were not out in great numbers. We also found out about Downtown Owls, the Rio Salado Habitat Restoration area's set aside for displaced burrowing owls. We were told we would see the burrowing owls, guaranteed and boy did we ever! We decided to try the habitat restoration area off of 7th street. I took a few pictures of these really small adorable owls. This is picture one of three I posted.

Of the three you posted this one has great composition as the Bokeh is darker and helps offset his head which is looking at something more interesting than you! Very Nice!
