I lived and taught in Ecuador for 2.7 years. This is one of the many gorgeous sights on my trips throughout the countryside. Cotopaxi volcano, snow-capped and magnificent in the light , sits at 19,393 feet altitude near the city of Latacunga, Ecuador and 60 km south of Quito. Its last eruption was in 1907.
