the cheapest flight into berlin had us arriving late in the afternoon. we dropped our bags off at the hostel and as i walked into my (shared) room, the sun was setting and a bit of light was still peering through spacious windows that overlooked an empty industrial lot. since i didn't have a tripod, i quickly draped the strap of my camera over a stranger's bunk bed, focused the lens, set the timer, and took just one film photo of myself. this is that single shot.
