If only I had had the courage and patience to capture what was to ensue in the following minutes... I arrived at the park in a pretty-boy-looking sort of figure, in my glad rags, with Barnet only just trimmed, clean shaven, fresh as a daisy and licked into shape. Out of the blue, the bubble of the ominous clouds burst and torrents of rain poured down from the heavens. I legged it, but by the time I made it to the car I looked like Jesus immersed in river Jordan by John the Baptist. Thankfully I had bolted quickly enough to evade the thunder bolts that followed suit.
