Behind The Lens

Location

It was taken in Triana in Las Palmas, one of the most popular places in here that is always filled with tons of people. The way you look at it depends on the time you're walking by.

Time

It was exactly at 4:00 am, me and my friends we were leaving the shop one works at, and it was just when the city was caught by a great mist that ended up everywhere in the news, it was incredible and we were at the exact time everything happened and luckily I had my camera and enjoyed taking pictures in what it looked like a ghost city with nobody in the streets and that mysterious atmosphere the mist left.

Lighting

This phenomenon made the lights go fade, so it was kind of working with a natural filter, the way everything looked was magical.

Equipment

I used my everyday camera: the Canon 1100D with my 50 mm lens and nothing else.

Inspiration

Nothing really inspired me it was just a thing of the moment,I didn't realise the city would look like that after leaving my friend's shop, the best of this photo is that it wasn't even planned.

Editing

Yeah, I always do some retouch on my pictures especially what comes to color. In here I wanted to keep it as real as possible because it was already perfect, what I wanted with this picture is to tell the way I felt when looking at the scene with my own eyes through color retouch, capturing the cold but also keeping it magical.

In my camera bag

I usually have my basic lenses which are the 50 and 24 mm, and sometimes my tripod. Also some batteries and a flash that I especially don't use in scenes like that, I love natural.

Feedback

Keep it natural, and always bring some good friends, they make the work eassier and you can count on some good models if it's required. Nothing but enjoying the process of creation surrounded by good love.
