Location
I took this photo in Rye, NH. on Brackett rd. It’s a winding residential road leading into Portsmouth, NH. This is an inlet on Marsh Pond.Time
I honestly cannot remember the time of day it was taken. I want to say it was around 3:00 p.m. about an hour before the sun would set this time of year.Lighting
The amazing thing about this photo is that it just started to rain when I took it. It really gave this soft watercolor effect.Equipment
I used my Sony a6000 and my zoom lens and hood. Nothing else . Auto focus. I had just bought the camera and didn’t know much about the settings.Inspiration
What didn’t inspire me to take this photo? I had driven by this location a dozen times and always wanted to capture this particular spot. This was the day I had my camera with me. The timing , the color of the trees, the rain, the light, everything was so serene and absolutely perfect.Editing
I only cropped this photo. It is as it was taken. In my camera bag
My camera bag always has my Sony a6000 , zoom lens, hood, small tripod, camera cleaning kit and extra fully charged batteries. I keep it pretty simple.Feedback
I take pictures of what catches my eye. I find Beauty in everything and I try to capture it in that moment. Just have fun, that’s the wonderful thing about digital cameras, you can take as many photos as you want.
