Once upon a time there was a beautiful water nymph called the pristine waters of Lake Carezza. One day a sorcerer Masaré was overcome by the sound of the nymph singing voice. He fell in love with her and
he used all his powers to conquer the nymph of the lake without success. So to seduce her he decided to cast a beautiful rainbow in the sky from a mountain to another! But she was not fooled so when he came for her she hid inside the lake. She hasn’t been seen since. Completely distraught at his own foolishness, Masaré smashed the rainbow into a million pieces, which fell into the lake’s waters below.
That's why the Carezza Lake is also called the Rainbow Lake.
