I love Bike Week. This year I worked on a clean up crew so I can upgrade my equipment. October I will have more. On my journey to spend my time doing what I love and start my own studio. All the support from here brought me out of my shell.

Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken on Main Street in Dayton Beach, Florida during Bike Week 2017. This was my first all day shoot.

Time

I would guess late afternoon but I try not to live by the clock.

Lighting

The sun was my lighting and it made this shot one of my favorites.

Equipment

I have a Nikon D40 and 15mm VR Lens which was used on this 2 day adventure. My Nikon was a Xmas gift from my boyfriend and his encouragement towards my photography is just amazing.

Inspiration

This biker and his ride just screamed Bike Week. The motorcycle is gorgeous and just drew me in.

Editing

I did very little editing. I am teaching and exploring the editing process. I never thought learning could be this exciting.

In my camera bag

I am an amateur photographer and my camera bags shows it. I have my camera, 1 lens, a hand strap, neck strap and my tripod. I am working on building up my equiptment along my journey.

Feedback

I am still in the learning stages of photography but my advice would be to trust your instincts when your out taking photos. I took this shot because it just felt good. Photography is a major part of my life. I have COPD and has affected my life negatively, but thanks to an amazing man who gave me my Nikon, I can capture the beauty around me and enjoy life one shot at a time.
