The waters of Shannon Creek make a dramatic 335 meter plunge en route to Howe Sound. Downstream from Shannon Falls the creek's turquoise water cascade through a streamed of rocks and boulders left behind by glaciers centuries ago. Shannon Falls Provincial Park is a popular stop for those traveling the Sea-to-Sky Corridor (BC Highway 99) from Vancouver to Whistler, British Columbia. The falls viewpoint is a short, accessible walk from the parking area. Only 135 meters of the falls is visible from the base viewing area. Old growth forest frames the cool blue waters tumbling down the granite escarpment from Mount Habrich and Mount Sky Pilot.
