Sharing a little bit of the beauty the salton sea has to share. (Bombay beach, CA) a sea that really needs cleaning and is harming inhabitants around it, i wanted to portray a beautiful side of it and mabe use it to incentivize and see the good side of making the cleansing of the sea a reality.

Location
This shot was taken on the diminishing Salton Sea located in Southern California. The hue was inspired by the high potential danger of toxicity to the surrounding areas if the sea were to continue drying out. Although I am mostly a self taught photographer, I have had some assistance from peers and friends whom gracefully share some pointers.Time
This photo was taken in the evening during a fall season golden hour, this day was mildly windy, but very nice.Lighting
Natural lighting was involved, as far as the green hue, that was altered digitally. original color was a gold horizon with bright blue cloudy sky around it.Equipment
This photo was taken using a Sony A6000 with a 16-50 mm lens that it was equipped with upon purchase.Inspiration
I was inspired to take this photo to show the potential beauty in restoring the Salton Sea, although efforts are often being made, there is still no permanent solution. Hopefully it will be a view for more to be able to enjoy in the future.Editing
The photo did have the dark lights darkened while the brighter tones were lightened up a bit more with some contrast applied to give the clouds some more definition and darken up the silhouette. Although my original edit didnt have the greener hue, I decided to later add that to add to the feeling the Sea gave if locally present. In my camera bag
My travel bag usually has my camera, a flash, and a spare battery. carry that all the time.Feedback
Travel to a seaside area, and wait for either golden hour in the morning or evening for best results, and expose for your background rather than whichever object/person is in the foreground.
