Nice shot, congrats on your win. I love the contrasting color layers going on there.

Location
Lifeguard was taken in September 2016, somewhere at the beach of ItalyTime
It was in the afternoon roundabout 15.00Lighting
There was nothing spcail for the lightning. I used available light wich came from back.Equipment
I used a tripod, my Nikon D750 and the AF-S 28-300 with 55 mm. The pic consists of two different shots. The first is the blur beach which was photographed with lowest ISO and small aperture to reach a longer shutter speed of 1/20 sec swinging horizontally. The second shot was a normal shot of the "lifeguard".Inspiration
It was an creative Idea, to shoot the bride calm beach and the "lifeguard" in a composition of 2 pics.Editing
There was a lot oft post-processing. A first you have to clean the blur beach pic to reach this abstract and calm blur view. On the second layer the lifeguard stand was cut out and pasted in the final picture. Also with the little shade. In my camera bag
Nikon D850 and D750, Nikon AF-S 24-70, Nikon AF-S 70-200, Nikon AF-S 50-500, Nikon AF-S 28-300, Sigma Macro 105, Sigma 12-24 and a lot of equipment.Feedback
You have make a lot of experiments. Specially for reaching this blur background. Every shot looks different. A big help was the self timer function of my Nikon. I configured this function for 9 shots and 0,5 seconds interval. So I cound concentrate on swinging horizontally whithout pressing the shutter release. After 3-5 shots you have found the rhythm of the frequence and you are able to shoot for the remaining 5 pics an exact horizontal motion blur.
